I don’t know if you are like me but sometimes I just fancy making some home made cookies. There is something really satisfying & comforting about the smell of Cookies baking . That lovely sugar, butter & chocolate blending together to give that wonderful nostalgic aroma of home &  happy times baking for my children Mmmmmmmmmm Bliss.

This is my Cookie receipe. I can’t remember where it came from but I can Guarantee that you will be hard put to find a better one.

I can’t understand how it happened but I have just  been pootling about the Amazon book store taking a look at the Crafting books & discovered a new Tone Finnanger book!………I am ashamed to say that although I consider myself a No.1 Tilda fan I had no idea there was a new book due out!

The book is titled Crafting Tilda’s Friends it includes 30 fun sewing and papercraft projects that show how to create the cutest characters. This title features rabbits, birds, frogs, cats and an array of other creatures. This is me keeping up with my blog…..the second Post in two weeks …pretty good!

As we are all trying to be cost conscious I thought it might be a good idea to make available our free Baguette bag pattern. This super little bag can be made from 2 x fat quarters of fabric or any left over fabric from previous projects. Tilda Fat Quarters are ideal for this project.The bag design is so versatile you can change the character of the bag by using many different fabrics. I hope you have all had a very productive 2009  crafting all the gorgeous Tilda projects. Well my New Years resolution is to keep up with my Puddlecrafts blog so here goes.

First of all a very big thank you to all my customers from the UK & all over the world  for your custom & also  patience during some very trying times.  The most significant for us being the UK postal strike. Things became very difficult for a while as parcels got lost or simply took ages to be delivered, fortunately for us we only had a few mishaps but it was touch & go for a while.

Great news on the Tilda front……..  a New Tilda booklet by Tone Finnanger is due to be published on the 12th January 2010 along with some new Tilda fabrics. I have had a sneak preview & they are really gorgeous. Romantic dreamy prints that Tilda are so famous for …….just wonderful. We will of course have them in stock by the end of January so don’t forget to visitPuddlecrafts!

We are also now stocking a fantastic range of bag/purse making supplies  at excellent prices plus some new 100% cotton fabrics chosen to coordinate &  compliment  the Tilda fabrics.

I’m so excited I have just taken delivery of a new patchwork book called “Quilt yourself Gorgeous” by Mandy Shaw. Mandy  shares her fresh approach to quilting with an emphasis on fun &  fast results.  Just looking through the wonderful projects set my creative juices flowing. I’m not a quilter but there are lots of accessories as well at quilt patterns. I can’t wait to run up a colourful roomy bag from the pattern on page 43.

Of course I am really lucky having a huge stash of Tilda fabrics to choose from! I just need to remember I’m supposed to be selling the fabrics ( I do tend to forget this fact at times). I will of course post a picture of the finished bag in all it’s glory. With 24 projects I think this book is fantastic value at £14.99. There is even a fabulous Clarance Chicken door stop … what a wonderful handcrafted gift for someone special at Christmas.

Perhaps you are wondering what Tilda is all about. Well, I’m going to introduce you to the wonderful world of Tilda.

My interest in & love of Tilda began when I came across a book called Crafting Springtime Gifts written by a talented Norwegian lady called Tone Finnanger. This book is full of delightful projects featuring bunnies, chicks, lambs & other gorgeous items.
